Junk drive coming up
Our next junk drive is on 22 September 2012.
Put your inorganic waste where you normally put your rubbish bag by 8:00 am and leave a $10 donation in your letterbox or at the Ngaio Pharmacy. (You can also pay into our Bank Account.) We are currently delivering our annual report to everyone in Ngaio and Crofton Downs. This has a donation form in it.
We can collect most junk but
- heavy or bulky items, such as fridges, stoves, sofas or barbecues
- computers and home electronics (television sets etc). (You can drop these off for a small fee to RCN e-Cycle ).
- hazardous waste such as paint, poisons, car batteries or oil
- building debris or garden waste
Does riding around Ngaio and Crofton Downs behind a rubbish truck appeal?
Helpers wanted! Can you spare a Saturday morning to help load the rubbish trucks, collect ‘good’ junk for the stall, or drive ahead to see what’s waiting for collection? If so, please phone Neil Skene 479 1570. We are meeting at Ngaio Town Hall at 8:00am. Workers get a delicious morning tea in the Ngaio Town Hall drop in centre.
Ngaio Scouts are running a’ Good Used Good Junk’ stall on Khandallah Road’s grassy area, by Simla Railway Station. Drop your treasures off to them between 8 and 9am. The stall will run from 9-12.
