Ngaio and Crofton Downs are adjoining suburbs in the northern suburbs of Wellington, New Zealand\u2019s capital city. They are surrounded by hills, many of them clad in native bush, but are only about ten minutes from central Wellington by car, bus or train.<\/p>\n
Ngaio has a village-like atmosphere, with a library, town hall, schools, cafes, a supermarket, shops, parks and walking tracks. The Crow\u2019s Nest, Mt Kaukau and a reservoir are special features on the skyline.<\/p>\n
Crofton Downs is a newer suburb, with a cafe, supermarket, hardware and garden stores. It is bordered by parks and reserves.<\/p>\n
