The Ngaio Crofton Downs Residents Association is looking for more people and skills to join our committee so we can improve our support for the community of Ngaio and Crofton Downs. Even if you are not sure, we urge you to “give it a go”!
We meet on first Wednesday of every month for a couple of hours, from 7.30pm, and among the activities that we get involved in are:
- Organising the community picnic
- Making things happen, such as the WREMO workshops
- Monitoring and acting on local issues—such as green belt access
- Making submissions on Council matters as they arise
- Arranging public meetings such as the recent “Meet the Candidates”
- Conducting plantings around our streets and parks
- Keeping residents informed about what is happening
If you are considering becoming a member of the executive team, please do put your name forward at the AGM on 20 November, or let us know if you can not be there. It would be helpful for you to let us know in advance.
If you want to talk about what is involved, feel free to ring Ian Turk at 04 939 8441.
